Job description

Customer Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative, you will support the Customer Service Supervisor and department by performing daily activities such as creating and issuing invoices, initiating billing cycles, and verifying appropriate charges. You will generate quotes for freight using established company policies and procedures, while providing excellent customer service support by telephone and email.

Responsibilities include :

  • Creating and issuing invoices
  • Initiating billing cycles and verifying appropriate charges
  • Generating quotes for freight using established company policies and procedures
  • Providing excellent customer service support through telephone and email
  • Managing and communicating with customers utilizing email 90% of the time
  • Handling around 100-200 emails / updates per day, communicating client needs, concerns, and delivery information
  • Giving status updates and proof of delivery (POD) to customers
  • Managing internal orders with the warehouse

Essential Skills :

  • Proficient in data entry and customer service
  • Ability to manage and communicate effectively via email
  • Experience in customer support, customer service call centers, logistics, transportation, and freight
  • Efficient use of MS Office, specifically email communication
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications :

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • One-year of business billing experience is nice to have
  • Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is a plus
  • Work Environment :

    The work environment is an office-type setting with a team of around 14 individuals in the Customer Service department. The dress code is professional, and workout wear is not permitted. Shifts can vary between the operating hours of 7am-6pm and will be discussed during the interview process.     Job Type & Location :

    This is a contract to hire position based out of Reno, NV.

    Pay and Benefits :

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
