Job Duties :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for processing and managing all accounts payable transactions. This is a vital role in ensuring accurate financial records and timely payments to vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Review and verify accuracy and completeness of vendor invoices by matching invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Code expense invoices to the appropriate account and profit center information.
• Enter invoices into system in a timely manner
• Ensure all expense invoices have proper approvals before processing.
• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Prepare and process weekly check runs.
• Respond to any vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues and communicate effectively with vendors to obtain necessary documentation.
• Setup new vendor accounts by verifying federal ID numbers, terms of payment, etc.
• Ensures credit is received for outstanding credit memos
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
