Senior IT Support Analyst (Software Compliance & Licensing)
Location : Los Angeles, CA (Downtown - Union Station Area)
Schedule : 9 / 80 Hybrid (early start available, every other Friday off)
Duration : Temporary Assignment - Up to 6 Months
Pay Range : $59.00 - $66.00 per hour
A leading public-sector organization in the Los Angeles area is seeking a Senior IT Support Analyst to join its Information Technology team. This role supports a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment and will focus heavily on software compliance, licensing, and asset management .
The ideal candidate has deep experience in software lifecycle oversight, cloud licensing models, usage analysis, and enterprise support operations. This position will play a key role in supporting the implementation of a new Software Asset Management (SAM) system and improving overall visibility into organizational software usage and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day software compliance operations, including tracking, auditing, and maintaining software assets.
- Fulfill and coordinate software-related service tickets, installations, and licensing requests.
- Recommend optimal and cost-effective licensing strategies based on consumption data and organizational needs.
- Develop a structured and scalable approach to software oversight and governance.
- Manage cloud software provisioning and monitor usage to identify unused or underutilized licenses.
- Leverage SaaS and cloud cost-consumption tools for license management and cost optimization.
- Create and refine processes for tracking the purchase, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and retirement of software applications.
- Assist with developing and running scripts to support software audits and reporting.
- Support ticketing operations and assist with generating reports and analytics.
- Collaborate closely with IT staff, demonstrating strong communication, critical thinking, and prioritization skills.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.6+ years of relevant experience , including software compliance, licensing, and help desk / technical support.7-10 years of hands-on experience preferred in software licensing and Software Asset Management.Strong knowledge of :Software licensing compliance and asset management practices
