In this role, you’ll work alongside renowned orthopaedic physicians , helping patients navigate their recovery journey. You’ll get hands-on experience in patient care, casting, splinting, DME fitting, and injury prevention education —all while making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in patient intake—rooming, vital signs, and obtaining medical history
  • Triage and assess patients, prioritizing urgent cases and coordinating care with physicians & APPs
  • Provide patient education on injury prevention, rehabilitation, pre / post-op care, and wellness
  • Apply casts, splints, braces, and DME to support recovery
  • Train patients on proper device use and gait techniques
  • Assist with in-office procedures and ensure efficient patient flow
  • Document patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and clinic staff
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of patient care and safety
  • What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Athletic Training (BOC certification required) OR NBCOT certification (required within 2 years)
  • Current Maine licensure (or eligible)
  • BLS certification (required)
  • Experience in orthopaedic injury evaluation and patient care
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-energy environment
