CNC Operator

PURPOSE

• The purpose of the CNC Operator position is to accurately perform tasks according to work instructions that are related to machining of SMC components

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The CNC Operator fully manages the machining tasks and maintenance necessary to produce SMC components and will complete the following tasks for their role :

assignments. This work typically is performed on a CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, or CNC Punch Press.

Work in a team environment for an increased productivity and quality.

Understand and follow all company policies and safety procedures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands of this position require the employee to stand, walk, and use their hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with their hands and arms. The role will also necessitate the employee to lift heavy components (up to 40Lbs) as needed.

The person is frequently required to climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to hear and

talk.

While the production facility is temperature controlled, the work environment may expose employees to noise, heat, open flame, cold, dust, lubricants and / or solvents.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 3 years of experience required without CNC certification and no prior experience required with CNC certification

Available to work overtime on weekdays / weekends as needed (multiple day time schedules are available).

Basic computer and math skills.

Detail-oriented.

Work in a team environment for an increased productivity and quality.

Communication : Must be able to read / write / speak and understand English. Must be able to effectively communicate.
