Job descriptionReads and interprets blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences Prepares tools needed for CNC lathe machining operations; Verifies that fixture setup meets acceptable quality standards regarding milling and boring sizes, depths, angles, or other specifications Mounts, aligns, and secures tooling, attachments, and work-piece on machine; Assembles cutting tools in tool holders and positions tool holders in machine magazines Loads control media, such as tape, card, or disk, in machine controller or enter commands to retrieve preprogrammed instructions from database Calculates and sets machine controls to position spindle in relationship to work piece and to regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed, and coolant flow Conducts prove-outs and manual programming during setups; only when approved by Supervisor Starts machine and monitors displays and machine operation to detect malfunctions Stops machine to change cutting tools and setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications Enters commands or manually adjusts machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining Operates machine manually to perform non-automated functions and when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions Discusses control media errors with supervisor or programming personnel to resolve problems Cleans machine, tooling, and parts; Performs machine maintenance as needed or required Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations; Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with safety and training guidelines Helps train new employees as required Feel stuck – we offer great opportunities to advance and learn Get bored – we make a high variety of products, so no day is the same Feel like a number – we’re a close-knit bunch and always have each other’s backs A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment A quick learner who is always ready to gain depth of knowledge in manufacturing processes A reliable individual who knows the importance of showing up when it counts Someone who accept assignments with an open, cooperative, positive and team-oriented approach Someone who is able to plan and execute plans across teams An effective communicator, both written and verbal Competitive compensation and benefits package Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid vacation and 10 observed paid holidays per year Employer funded Basic Life and AD&D insurance Employer funded STD and LTD insurance Tuition reimbursement Great 401(k) with company match Generous employee referral bonus program Working for a thriving, performance-based company that values promoting from within and career advancement Temperature controlled environment Community involvement investing and giving back to the community Additional free resources such as travel assistance, EAP, etc. GD&T Blueprint Reading CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) CNC Lathe (5+ axis)

- CNC Lathe Operator
- to join our Greenwood, IN facility for 2nd shift.
What You’ll Do :
What You’ll Need :
High School diploma or equivalent
1 year of related CNC Lathe operation experience and / or training
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and operations to be formed
Ability to set-up and operate CNC machinery, input and maintain data in Traverse Manufacturing System
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
