Scrubs / color : Any color. No denim. Professional appearance.

Shoes : Non-skid, closed toe, athletic shoes are ok, must wear heel strap with clogs

Jewelry : Professional, Minimal, No facial piercing other than ears

Hair / Beard : Professional, hair shoulder length and longer must be pulled back, facial hair must be neat and trimmed

Nail Polish : No gels, acrylics, or extensions. All polish must in good condition without chips or cracks

Documentation System : EPIC

Medication System : Pyxis

To what units / facilities : MS. Travelers could float to 1-2 units in a 12 hr shift.

Describe the rotation : Travelers float first

Patient Population (Diagnoses) : 60% Oncology patients, 40% med-surg / tele patients, few radium implants, chemo, and some isolation. Trauma / traumatic brain injury transfers with trachs, respiratory failures, medical - pneumonia, some R / O TB - some isolation. CHEMO : Bio / Chemo certification is not required for this position. Travelers will not administer chemotherapy that requires Bio / Chemo certification. IVP, Sub-Q, PO and IVPB / Contin. Infusions - Use Hickman & Ports & PICCs. Radiation Therapy : Occasionally Radium Implants : Occasionally Bone Marrow Transplantation : NO Stem Cell Transplants : No TRAVELERS DO NOT GIVE CHEMO UNLESS CERTIFIED BY HOSPITAL
