Operations Supervisor

Location : Memphis, TN Job Type : Full-Time, Hourly Environment : Non-Climate Controlled

About the Role : We are a new, rapidly growing company in Memphis seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Supervisor to lead our team. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe and productive work environment, and driving team efficiency. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in supervising teams and is comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse setting.

Responsibilities :

Supervisory Leadership : Directly supervise and manage a team of employees, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Assign tasks and manage workloads to ensure all operational goals and deadlines are met. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment. Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a professional and timely manner.

Operational Oversight : Oversee daily operations, including material handling, sorting, and processing. Ensure all equipment, including forklifts and a trash baler, are operated safely and maintained properly. Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate record-keeping. Implement and enforce all company policies, safety protocols, and OSHA regulations. Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.

Equipment Operation & Management : Safely operate a trash baler to compact and prepare materials for disposal. Operate and oversee the safe use of forklifts and other warehouse machinery. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues or malfunctions.

Administrative & Reporting : Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and employee performance. Utilize computer skills to manage professional emails, create reports, and maintain spreadsheets (emphasis on professional communication and Excel capabilities). Communicate effectively with management, team members, and other departments.

Requirements :

Experience : Minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team lead role. Proven experience operating a trash baler. Forklift certified and a strong understanding of forklift safety procedures.

Skills : Computer savvy, with an emphasis on professional emails, Excel capabilities, and general data management. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work effectively in a non-climate-controlled environment. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements : Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $23.00 - $25.00 Per Hour
