Position Summary

Role : Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Cardiology Clinic

Setting : Outpatient / Ambulatory Clinic

Schedule : Monday–Friday, day shift

On-Call : None

Weekends : None

Holidays : Required to work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Day after Thanksgiving counts as a holiday)

Job Overview

LPN needed for a busy cardiology clinic handling a mix of general cardiology, electrophysiology, and vascular surgery patients. The nurse will support daily clinic operations, assist providers with patient care, and handle procedures such as vitals, charting, and EKG prep.

Requirements

  • Experience :

    • Minimum 1 year of clinic experience required

  • Cardiology experience preferred , but not mandatory
  • First-time travelers accepted if clinic experience is present
  • Certifications :

    • BLS (AHA) required

  • Education :

    • Completion of an accredited nursing education program approved by a state board of nursing

  • Charting :

    • Epic experience required

    Department Details

  • Average Patients per Day : Up to 22
  • Team Structure :

    • 1 EKG Tech

  • 3 Clinical Assistants (approx. 1 CA per 10 rooms)
  • 1 LPN, 1 Lead RN, 1 RN Manager
  • Floating : Within the Cardiology Clinic and occasionally for outreach coverage
  • Orientation :

    • Facility orientation per protocol

  • 3–4 days side-by-side training with another nurse

    • Additional Details

  • Scrubs : Navy Blue
  • Parking : Free onsite
  • RTO Policy : Full-week time off requests may require a contract extension to total 13 weeks
