The Engineering and Operations Manager will provide leadership and direction for Yancey Engineered Solutions to create a highly efficient service and operations environment. This role is focused on creating value for our customers, driving organizational alignment, embracing scientific thinking and building on the passion of our people through trust and respect.
Primary responsibilities include recruiting and development of staff, responsible for division budget and growth of operations, overseeing site and facility maintenance, and managing systems procedures, validate engineering and cost controls, risk management and work in progress flow and layout.
Additional responsibilities include participating in required safety program, and working in a safe manner. Additional duties as assigned by manager.
To be successful in this position you should have experience with analyzing operations and its cost drivers, analyzing material and information flows, and analyzing productivity, material consumption, and operation expenses. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to take direction and work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.
Education / experience : High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Required qualifications / skills : Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, leadership skills, organizational skills and computer skills, oral and written communication, understand basic electrical circuits.
Preferred qualifications / skills : Specific industry experience desired or equivalent college degree with knowledge of basic welding (MIG / TIG), system testing, fabrication and machine tool knowledge are desired.
