Access Control Project Manager

Location : Nashville, TN

Schedule : Full-time | On-site

Industry : Low Voltage / Physical Security / Commercial Construction

Team Leadership : 5–10 Technicians

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Access Control Project Manager to lead a team of technicians for one of our key partners in the Nashville market. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in low-voltage systems, large-scale commercial construction leadership, and a passion for delivering high-quality, integrated security solutions.

Top Skills & Experience

Proven experience in engineering and installation of low-voltage systems.

Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, relay logic, and system operations.

Demonstrated leadership on large commercial construction sites, managing teams of 10+ technicians.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and manage all phases of access control projects from engineering to installation.

Supervise installation labor and subcontractors to ensure quality and efficiency.

Coordinate procurement and timely delivery of materials and services.

Maintain and update project documentation, including plans, specs, submittals, and change orders.

Monitor project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure profitability.

Conduct site walks to ensure quality installations and provide updates to stakeholders.

Communicate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and customers.

Support training and development of technicians and apprentices.

Ensure projects are properly closed out, billed, and transitioned to service.

Additional Duties

Assist with estimating and site surveys for upcoming projects.

Implement quality assurance programs to improve customer satisfaction.

Provide labor and material forecasting and job cost control.

Prepare data for monthly billing and financial reporting.

Ensure all project documentation, including as-builts and warranty letters, is completed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00 / hr.
