How you will make a difference
As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will play a vital role in a dedicated team providing compassionate care to patients with renal failure. Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN), you will directly impact the lives of patients during their treatment.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Direct Patient Care : Engage with patients to deliver safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment. This includes collecting vital statistics, initiating and monitoring treatments, terminating treatment, and obtaining blood samples as per physician instructions.
- Technical Support : Ensure the safety and effectiveness of treatment by preparing dialysis machines, performing cleaning and disinfection, conducting machine safety checks, and maintaining accurate logs for quality control.
- Safety and Compliance : Utilize appropriate safety equipment and adhere to all relevant regulations and protocols. Participate in staff meetings and continuing education to enhance your skills.
What we seek in candidates :
High school diploma or equivalent.A passion for healthcare and patient care.Prior experience in a healthcare role such as dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is advantageous.Willingness to mix acids and bicarbonate safely as per established procedures.Ability to distinguish all primary colors.Additional requirements :
Successful completion of the US Renal Care training program approved by the Medical Director within 8 weeks of hire.CPR certification obtained within 90 days of hiring, as required by state law.Certification as a Patient Care Technician through a recognized state or national program within 18 months of hire, with continued compliance.Ready to make an impact?
