As a validation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that radio power systems meet specified requirements and standards.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for setting up and executing measurements using RF equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and vector network analyzers.
- Understanding what needs to be measured and how to perform those measurements in the most automated way possible.
- Debugging and optimizing the Radio, analogue and mixed signal performance of RF transceivers.
- Creation of tools to facilitate and improve the efficiency of the validation effort using Test stand, LabVIEW, C programming and Python.
- Document test procedures, measurement results, and automation scripts to ensure repeatability and traceability of experiments.
- Collaboration with the design, architecture, SW, customer support and production teams.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree with 8-10 years’ experience.
- Experience in analog electronics, RF, embedded SW and measurement automation.
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using LabVIEW to streamline testing processes and increase efficiency.
- Configure and control RF instruments and test equipment via LabVIEW interfaces to ensure accurate and consistent measurements.
- Strong programming skills in Python, including proficiency in scripting, data manipulation, and analysis using relevant libraries and frameworks.
- Analyze measurement data using software tools like LabVIEW, MATLAB, or Python to draw insights and make recommendations for product improvement or validation.
- Ability to design and implement automation solutions using LabVIEW, including knowledge of software architectures, state machines, and error handling.
- Identify and resolve issues with test setups, instrumentation, or software to maintain smooth operation of the testing environment.
- Proficiency in LabVIEW programming language, including experience with data acquisition, instrument control, and user interface development.
- Strong understanding of RF principles and concepts, including modulation techniques, transmission lines, antennas, and RF measurement methodologies.
- Familiarity with various measurement techniques used in RF testing, such as S-parameters, power measurements, noise figure, and impedance measurements.
- Experience with RF test equipment and instruments, including spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, signal generators, and power meters.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and address issues in test setups, instrumentation, or software.
- Ability to create clear and concise documentation for test procedures, measurement results, and automation scripts.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, interacting with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders.
