Modular Building Inspections And Plan Reviews Leadership Role
This leadership role is focused on building and scaling a state agency-aligned program for modular building inspections and plan reviews, while driving strategic growth in the U.S. modular access market. The position combines business development, technical oversight, and operational leadership to support regulatory compliance and industry expansion.
Responsibilities
Business Leadership & Growth
- Drive global business growth, margin improvement, and strategic alignment.
- Develop pricing strategies, service offerings, and promotional initiatives.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.
- Represent the company at client meetings and industry events.
- Leverage existing industry relationships to drive business development and strategic partnerships.
Operations & Financial Oversight
Manage budgets, P&L, and ensure financial targets are met.Oversee forecasting, cost control, and workflow planning.Align resources and capabilities with customer needs.Support capital investments and M&A activities.Plans Examination and Technical Oversight
Provide technical oversight on modular building plans and inspections.Review modular building plans for code compliance.Coordinate with architects, engineers, and agencies.Conduct field inspections when needed.Stay current with building codes and modular regulations.Team & Culture
Lead and manage a global team of inspectors with coaching and development.Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and collaboration.Ensure compliance with company policies and global standards.Collaborate effectively with sales, product management, and other functions without direct authority.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction, or a related fieldICC Building Plans Examiner Certification (required)ICC Residential or Commercial Plans Examiner Certification (required)Professional Engineer (PE) license with experience in structural design review of buildings (preferred)ICC Master Code Professional (MCP) (preferred)8+ years of experience in the modular building industry (e.g. product management, engineering, sales)4+ years of leadership experienceProven success in leading cross-functional and global projectsStrong financial acumen, including DCF and ROI analysisSkilled in performance management, staffing, and employee developmentAbility to simplify and communicate complex technical and business informationStrong analytical skills with experience interpreting financial and legal dataStrategic thinker with expertise in risk management and contingency planningWhat we offer :
Total Rewards : We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge / skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).About Us
