Position: School Crossing Guard - Johnson County KS Location: Overland Park, KS
Job Id: # of Openings: 10 Job Title: School Crossing Guard
Location: Johnson County, Kansas
Hours: Monday–Friday, school days only (Before and After School Hours)
Pay: Johnson County School Crossing Guards earn $16.50 - $18.00 per hour, with many areas offering bonus time for each shift worked. Before and after school shifts are available. Pay rate and hours vary by location

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely guide pedestrians across designated intersections or crosswalks.
  • Monitor traffic flow to ensure safety for all pedestrians.
  • Remain alert and observant to ensure student safety at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong communication and observation skills.
  • This position often requires short response times to the job site so candidates residing in the city worked are preferred.
