Touchmark at Fairway Village has an opening for a Housekeeper within our Housekeeping department. This position will be full-time, day shift, and will primarily focus on housekeeping duties, but may also have some responsibility for filling in for janitors.

In this position, you have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team both within the department and within Touchmark at Fairway Village in general, to make a genuine difference in the lives of seniors.

This position is unique, in that it requires a mix of excellent problem solving, good judgment, people skills, and the physical work involved with housekeeping duties.

This position also includes duties in the form of walking the building, checking doors, being alert and aware of others in the building, and checking in with on-duty employees.

The housekeeping duties include taking out trash, checking supplies in publicly accessible restrooms, cleaning common areas, moving furniture, and general cleaning.

As a Housekeeper, you are to ensure that each of the residents homes, as well as our communitys common areas, are exceptionally clean, healthy, and pleasant spaces for residents and guests to enjoy.

This is not your standard housekeeping position at Touchmark, you have the daily opportunity to build long-term relationships with the wonderful people who call this community home!

Position Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Ability to operate all necessary equipment to perform essential functions of the position
• Ensure residents homes, guest rooms, and common areas are cleaned in accordance with the established Touchmark Gold Standards
• Notify supervisor or management team if any repairs are needed
• Keep supervisor informed of all changes in equipment performance and of the need for supplies
• Maintain a clean environment and a healthy atmosphere for Residents, guests, and team members

Key requirements of this position :

• Patient tactful, and flexible when dealing with residents, family members, volunteers, visitors, physicians, staff members and the general public
• Willingness to perform a variety of repetitive tasks
• Adherence to the Touchmark Gold Standards of behavior and performance, including Excellence, Teamwork, Hospitality, Integrity, and Compassion.
• Willingness to work holidays and weekends
• In addition to the housekeeping duties you will be expected to be a first responder in the event of an emergency situation (First responder training and CPR / First Aid certification will be provided)
