Structural Engineer- Inspection Team Leader

We are seeking a qualified Engineer to lead inspection teams, evaluate existing facilities for retrofit or replacement, and contribute to load rating and design of repairs.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead the Structural Inspection Team.
- Perform structural condition assessments.
- Conduct bridge load rating.
- Design retrofit and repair detailing.
- Provide quality control of construction documents.
- Assist and train early and mid-career professionals in assessments and design.
- Act as a designer / analyst as required.
- Engage in value engineering, third-party design and constructability review, and risk assessment.
- Travel to client or project sites as needed.
Education and Licensure
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a structural engineering focus (required).Master's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) (preferred).Professional registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) (preferred).Professional registration as a Structural Engineer (S.E.) (preferred).Skills, Experience And Qualifications
At least 5 years (7+ preferred) of directly relevant design experience or equivalent education and experience (required).Minimum 2 years experience serving as a team leader or primary structural inspector (required).Experience in inspection of concrete, timber, and steel structures (required).Experience in repair / retrofit design of concrete, steel, and timber structures (required).Registered Bridge Inspection Team Leader (preferred).Completion of the FHWA-NHI-130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges course (preferred).Bridge Load Rating experience (preferred).Capability to sit for the NCEES 20-Hour Structural Engineering exam within two years of hire (preferred).Knowledge of structural engineering design and detailing software (AASHTOWare, RISA, ETABS, RAM, SAP2000, SAFE, GSA, etc.) (required).Knowledge of design collaboration software (Bluebeam Studio) and operation of CAD / VDC / BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) (preferred).Experience working within construction sector or performing design work for contractors (preferred).Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines (required).Current OSHA 10-hr training (preferred).Valid U.S. driver's license and satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).Must hold valid U.S. work authorization.
