Join us as an ADAS System Engineer, where you will be at the forefront of developing and refining ADAS features, including algorithm and model development, simulation, verification, validation, and comprehensive documentation. Responsibilities
- Review and understand customer requirements for various ADAS control systems and perform technical analysis.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to develop new algorithms / models or update existing ADAS models.
- Support real-world evaluation of ADAS and ECU features via MIL / SIL / HIL and identify system problems / issues.
- Coordinate root-cause analysis with internal and overseas function teams to ensure delivered system meets feature requirements.
- Perform experiments, analyze data, develop new techniques, and create reports and concepts to improve the system.
- Create technical documentation, design specifications, and best practices guides for ADAS solutions; share knowledge with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Participate in additional projects to support department goals.
- Travel to customer locations to support product development, including product reviews, testing, and updates (up to 15%).
- Represent the company with major customers and the public.
- Ensure legal compliance in all engineering product design activities.
- Align Design Engineering activities with business objectives and maintain confidentiality and safety in the workplace.
- Follow quality policy standards and work with all levels of staff.
Qualifications
Knowledge of image processing using data from in-vehicle cameras; knowledge of ADAS control function; programming skills in C / C++ and MATLAB / Simulink.Knowledge of in-vehicle communication protocols (CAN / Ethernet / etc) and tools such as Vector CANape, CANalyzer, and dSpace Controls Desk.Ability to carry out system-level integration (hardware and software) within a vehicle is a plus.Prior experience with real-time algorithm development for image processing / sensor fusion is preferred.Ability to create test plans and execute experiments.Experience using Model Based Development tools and virtual validation methods for ADAS and ECU (MATLAB / Simulink, Stateflow, CarMaker) is required.Familiarity with hardware and software simulators such as dSpace / LabVIEW is required.Verification proficiency (design verification methods, data acquisition / analysis, hardware-in-the-loop, etc.).Ability to work in a team and present development outcomes to sponsors and customers.Excellent writing and communication skills; proficiency in Japanese (speaking and reading) is a plus.Education
Master's degree in engineering or related area required.
Experience
0 to 2 years of related industrial experience in the ADAS area is preferred with a Master's degree. Exposure to automotive engineering is required, including :
An understanding of automotive components and embedded systems.Knowledge of ADAS sensors and ADAS control functions.An understanding of chassis systems and vehicle dynamics is a plus.Travel and Work Environment
