Job descriptionMaintain and contribute to a positive work environment. Will support the Chef in planning, prepping, setting up, and providing quality service in all food stall areas. Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations. Check the quality of raw or cooked food products to ensure that standards are met. Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients. Instruct cooks or other workers in preparing, cooking, garnishing, or presenting food. Supervise or coordinate activities of cooks or workers engaged in food preparation. Completes daily server and cashier reports. Maintain an open line of communication between guests, management, and line employees. Carry coffee and / or teapots throughout the outlet, refilling guests' cups as requested. Meet and greet guests as they arrive, offer a choice of seating, then escort them to their table and present the menu. Read, maintain, and make daily entries in the logbook to coordinate communication between shifts and management. Maintain proper set-up of the dining room and enforce daily uniform and grooming standards of all service personnel. Conduct daily "roll call meetings" to inform staff of current promotions, daily specials, guest comments, daily events, and pertinent memos. Receive, record, and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant. Performs other related duties as assigned. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to remember, recite, and promote various menu items. Ability to move throughout a crowded room to seat guests. Ability to effectively deal with guest complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the guest, and providing positive and proactive solutions. High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate. 5 years of experience in the culinary field. Restaurant supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of Food cost and labor cost controls. Food handling certificate. CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain the certification. Knowledge of techniques and equipment for Pizza and Sandwich concepts. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and sitting. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Supervisory Responsibilities :
- Supervise all service personnel, including counseling and discipline, to maintain service standards.
- Ensure each employee can follow established recipes and plating guides provided to exact specifications.
- Monitoring / Assessing the performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
