Registered Nurse - Neuro ICU\n\nAssignment Duration\n\nThis is a 13-week contract position.\n\nSchedule\n\nNight shift, 3x12 hours (18 : 45 - 07 : 15). Every other weekend required.\n\nJob Description\n\nThe Neuro ICU is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with a strong Neuro Critical Care background. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a Neuro ICU and be proficient in managing complex neurological patients. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive care for patients with strokes, neurological surgeries, and other critical conditions related to the nervous system.\n\nResponsibilities\n

• Provide critical care nursing to patients in a Neuro ICU setting.\n
• Monitor and manage neurologically impaired patients, including those with external ventricular drains (EVD) and lumbar drains.\n
• Administer medications and perform procedures, including continuous IV sedation and blood product administration.\n
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection prevention protocols.\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neuro ICU.\n
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are preferred.\n
• Strong background in Neuro Critical Care is essential, with direct experience in CVA / acute stroke management.\n
