Job Summary :
This is a field service position in which the technician is responsible for performing installations, modifications, repairs and training duties at various customer locations in Colorado. (Some out of state work may be required). The technician is expected to work in a team environment and independently, as well as perform all duties up to Advantage Security Inc's. quality standards as outlined below.
Schedule :
- Monday – Friday 0730-1600
- Occasionally weekend and late-night work may be required
- Technician will also be in an on-call rotation

Installing, maintaining and repairing Surveillance Systems and Cloud Storage, Access Control Systems, Intercoms, Intrusion Alarms and associated software and componentsDeveloping a complete understanding of proper techniques for installing, maintaining and testing of all types of commercial security systemsExamining cameras and recording equipment to diagnose malfunction using work aids and specificationsWriting detailed reports on all tasks performed on each individual accountServing as the night call manager on a rotating schedule. (Rotation schedule will vary based on number of techs in the department in the rotation at any given time)Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, diagrams, instructions, or specifications to determine needed repairs, fabrication method, and operation sequenceInstructing customers on the proper use of their systemAdhering to ASI’s installation and service standardsKnowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Background knowledge of basic electronicsKnowledge of computer networking, routing, switching & LAN topologiesElectronic troubleshooting using digital and analog Volt / Ohm / Amp meterDetail oriented with ability to maintain accurate recordsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Self-motivated and taking initiative to learn new technologiesAbility to hear and see effectively and efficiently (good depth perception, color vision, field of vision)Physical Demands :

The employee will work in a variety of environments. Work is performed at customer’s sites and the conditions will range from an office setting to plant / factory. The employee should be prepared to work in any environment. A Camera / Access Technician is required to perform tasks indoors and outdoors during the entire year. The technician should be dressed appropriately to enable them to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
