    • Position Summary

    The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for conducting neurovascular and other sonographic exams on patients under the direct orders of a physician. The Technician is accountable at all times for patient safety.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • Know and work within the Ultrasound Technician scope of practice, always accountable to an attending physician
  • Prepare exam rooms and patients for ultrasound examinations; maintain ultrasound equipment; notify supervisor immediately of equipment issues
  • Perform adequate time-out procedures to verify patient identity and correct study before conducting the exam

    • Preferred Education and Experience

  • Vascular Ultrasound technician education or related training, in progress or completed
  • TCD experience preferred
  • RVT certification preferred
  • Healthcare experience required

    • Special Conditions of Employment

  • Provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination

  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in healthcare
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, providers, and payors
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently
  • Commitment to ethical working environment
  • Proficiency with computer systems such as Excel, Word, and the Internet; ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Bilingual in English / Spanish preferred

  • Per-diem or Part-time
  • Monday - Friday
