MEP Cost Engineer
We are hiring for an experienced Cost Engineer in the greater Troy, Michigan area to join our Program Management Office (PMO) team.
This position will assist with managing the program efficiently, control costs and ensure that projects are completed within budget while meeting quality standards and client expectations.

What you’ll do :
- Oversee cost management, reporting and communication of the program / project budget, trends and changes.
- Collaborate with Project Controls Manager on creation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
- Conduct preliminary review of program / project cost, schedule risk factors and suggestions / reports for improvement / mitigation.
- Establish cost control and contract administration procedures with a detailed workflow for the project stakeholders.
- Coordinate directly with Project Directors and Cost Managers for producing project financial reports
- Manage overall program budget and execution status to identify any impact within the program, or individual projects.
- Prepare periodic and non-periodic reports with dashboard in conjunction with project coordinator with regards to commercial progress and issues.
- Support the client and Project Management Office Director for tender process of contractors and consultant teams.
- Collecting and Setting up Actual Cost Database of the Project Site
What you bring : Education :
Education :
- BS / BA degree from an accredited college / university in Mechanical or Electrical Engieering highly preferred.
- Equivalent combination of experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Experience :
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience, with 2 plus years in similar roles.
- Knowledge of design, construction and engineering terminology and processes is required.
- Past experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prior cost experience in Auto Industry Assembly Plants, Advanced Manufacturing or Mission Critical faculties is preferred.
- Battery Construction Project experience preferred.
Skills :
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Power BI and Pivot Tables experience preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical groups in a fast-paced environment, while handling large volumes of work and multi-tasking.
- Bilingual English-Korean technical speaking strongly preferred.
