Heavy Civil Estimator

Seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Estimator with a strong business development mindset . This role blends detailed estimating with client interaction—perfect for someone who enjoys owning both the numbers and the relationships that win work.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare detailed estimates for heavy civil and infrastructure projects (earthwork, utilities, drainage, concrete, paving, industrial sites).
• Review plans, specs, and bid documents; perform quantity takeoffs and build complete cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes; clarify scope and close gaps.
• Prepare bid summaries, cost breakdowns, and proposal documents.
• Support business development by :
• Tracking and qualifying opportunities
• Attending pre-bid meetings and site walks
• Building and maintaining relationships with owners, agencies, engineers, and partners
• Coordinate with project managers and field leadership to ensure estimates reflect real-world means and methods.
• Help refine historical cost data, production rates, and estimating tools to improve accuracy and competitiveness.
