American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with neurological case expertise and active ARRT and BLS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a comprehensive stroke facility within the Interventional Radiology departmentCaseload includes neurological and vascular interventional proceduresUtilizes Siemens imaging equipment and Cerner EMR systemMonday to Friday schedule, 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm, 5 days per weekOn-call and potential overtime requiredNo blocked scheduling permittedMay float to a nearby sister hospital as neededResponsible for preparing rooms, maintaining sterile technique, prepping patients, assisting physicians during procedures, and post-procedure clean upPerforms all imaging and 3D imaging procedures according to department protocols and principles of radiation protectionPrepares and administers contrast, medications, and IV solutions as prescribedActively participates in patient assessment before, during, and after proceduresPerforms documentation in the EMR and Radiology Information System, and ensures high quality image delivery into PACSMay assist in training new staff or students assigned to the departmentCompletion of required online modules onsite prior to start, with a passing scoreCOVID vaccine is required for employmentCandidates must be prepared to complete background check and drug screening promptly upon offerTime-off requests must be discussed prior to assignment; post-offer RTO requires management approval\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years of interventional radiology experience, including neurological casesActive MI Radiology Technologist license required if applicableCurrent AHA BLS certification requiredARRT registration with advanced registry in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI), Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI), or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV) requiredHigh school diploma or GED requiredCompletion and maintenance of required continuing medical education hoursExperience with Siemens technology and Cerner EMR preferred\n Benefits\n
