Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and healthcare site guidelines. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and / or unauthorized access. Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted zones. Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel and / or emergency responders as needed. Assist with emergency response activities as directed, supporting the healthcare facility's protocols and Allied Universal procedures. Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors. Vaccines are required for hospital assignments. Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment. Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
