About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Job Specialty : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Days, 0700 to 1900

Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week

Experience : Minimum of 3 years

License : Registered Nurse (RN)

Certifications : Not specified

Must-Have :

Ability to operate advanced medical equipment and provide direct patient care to medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients needing advanced monitoring.

Job Description :

Provide direct patient care from admission to discharge, including discharge planning.

Operate advanced medical equipment including central lines, A-lines, multiple IVs, balloon pumps, Impella pumps, and ventilators.

Provide care for patients requiring Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy.

Care for general medical and surgical patients on the inpatient unit.

Assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision.

Act as a clinical leader and assist in precepting staff.

Provide directions to RN, LPN, CNA, Housekeeping Staff, and Dietary Staff.

Work collaboratively and receive directions from Providers, Charge Nurse, Acute Care Director, and Chief Nursing Officer.

Flexible in caring for Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical-Surgical patients if no ICU / CVICU patients are in-house.

Ability to adapt to rapid response and crisis situations.
