About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Job Specialty : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Days, 0700 to 1900

Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week

Experience : Minimum of 3 years

License : Registered Nurse (RN)

Certifications : Not specified

Must-Have :

  • Ability to operate advanced medical equipment and provide direct patient care to medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients needing advanced monitoring.

Job Description :

  • Provide direct patient care from admission to discharge, including discharge planning.
  • Operate advanced medical equipment including central lines, A-lines, multiple IVs, balloon pumps, Impella pumps, and ventilators.
  • Provide care for patients requiring Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy.
  • Care for general medical and surgical patients on the inpatient unit.
  • Assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Act as a clinical leader and assist in precepting staff.
  • Provide directions to RN, LPN, CNA, Housekeeping Staff, and Dietary Staff.
  • Work collaboratively and receive directions from Providers, Charge Nurse, Acute Care Director, and Chief Nursing Officer.
  • Flexible in caring for Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical-Surgical patients if no ICU / CVICU patients are in-house.
  • Ability to adapt to rapid response and crisis situations.
