Overview
A private and discreet UHNW family seeks a Director of Residences to oversee the operations, maintenance, and readiness of multiple U.S. homes. This is a newly created position designed to bring structure, consistency, and quiet excellence across a portfolio of primary and secondary residences.
The role is based in Austin, Texas , serving as the home base, with periodic travel to other properties, including New York, San Francisco, and Nashville . The ideal candidate is a high-functioning, organized, and humble professional with an easy, pleasant demeanor and a naturally low profile.
Key Responsibilities
- Property Oversight
- Ensure each residence operates smoothly and is maintained to impeccable standards. Oversee readiness, organization, and preventive maintenance of all properties year-round.
- Vendor & Contractor Management
- Develop and manage trusted vendor relationships in each location. Oversee service schedules, repairs, and capital improvements with full accountability for performance, timelines, and cost control.
- Staff Coordination
- Collaborate closely with the Chief of Staff and any local household teams to maintain consistent standards across all homes. Lead by example — with calm professionalism, clarity, and mutual respect.
- Reporting & Communication
- Provide regular property updates, maintenance reports, and budget summaries. Anticipate needs and proactively identify efficiencies or improvements without requiring principal oversight.
- Travel & Property Transitions
- Travel as needed to ensure seamless operations during principal visits, coordinating all logistics, household readiness, and staff preparation in advance.
- Systems & Organization
- Maintain digital household manuals, inventories, and property calendars. Establish structured systems for security, access, and vendor management.
Qualifications
7–10+ years of experience managing multiple high-value private residences or estates.Proven organizational and project management capabilities with strong attention to detail.Excellent communication, discretion, and problem-solving skills.Technologically adept; comfortable managing operations across multiple time zones.Calm, composed, and collaborative, capable of building strong relationships with staff, vendors, and leadership.Personal Attributes
