DEVT102 : Corporate Partnership Development, Lead

Overview

This is a pro-bono volunteer position.

JerseySTEM is a grassroots 501(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education to 5th-8th grade girls in New Jersey underserved communities.

We partner with socially responsible companies and their employees, youth organizations in underserved communities, and civic-minded college students and universities. Together we develop and deliver innovative, hands-on, and online after school projects and inquiry-based learning opportunities that develop teamwork, 21st-century problem-solving skills, and self-esteem.

The Corporate Partnership Development Lead at JerseySTEM serves as a key member of the corporate outreach team, focusing on identifying and engaging potential corporate partners. Working closely with the Corporate Partnership Development Manager, this role requires a proactive approach to establishing connections and building relationships that align with JerseySTEM's mission and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a limited number of Corporations of the same general market space (Chemical, Civil, Finance, Services, etc.) to identify critical decision makers, present JerseySTEM's mission and financial requirements, and facilitate approval and disbursement of funding.
• Build relationships with key Corporate employees.
• Research and identify potential corporate partners, understanding their goals, CSR objectives, and potential alignment with JerseySTEM's programs.
• Assist in creating customized partnership proposals that address the specific needs and interests of prospective partners.
• Provide marketing ideas and concepts for materials and opportunities for promoting our organization to potential donors.
• Communicate with DEVT leadership on the progress of efforts.
• Attend Corporate related activities involving those organizations they are responsible for.
• Attend weekly mandatory virtual meetings
