Job Summary

This job is in the Plant family (Department), which includes positions responsible for supervising or performing metals processing and distribution work. Work includes specialized equipment operation and / or supporting functions and requires a practical knowledge of the nature and operations and the materials, facilities and methods employed by Phoenix Metals in metals processing and distribution. Job Function

• Generally responsible for completing basic, routine tasks with detailed instructions.
• Responsible for safely loading / unloading material to / from supplier vehicles using material handling equipment such as a forklift, overhead crane or side loaders.
• Examines material for obvious quality defects and using measuring devices such as a tape measure to ensure conformance to purchase and sales orders.
• Tags material for proper identification and completes all required documentation.
• Safely operates commercial trucks on Company property.
• Maintains work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Reports any irregularities to supervisor for direction.
• Responsible for adhering to / ensuring compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
