Lakeville Area Schools is looking for a dedicated Health, Safety, and Security Specialist to support and lead key safety initiatives across our district. In this impactful role, you will work hands-on with security systems like access control, CCTV, fire alarms, and emergency alerts-while also ensuring we stay compliant with safety standards and inspections.
You will split your time between in-office planning and on-site work at our schools-collaborating closely with facilities, administrators, and staff to bring safety initiatives to life. If you are detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and thrive in a mission-driven environment, join our team!
WHAT YOU WILL DO :
- Manage and monitor district-wide safety and security systems and databases.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety inspections and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate system repairs, equipment replacements, and follow-up on inspection deficiencies.
- Communicate audit and inspection results to school and district leadership.
- Oversee access control, visitor management, CCTV, intrusion detection, fire alarms, and emergency communication systems.
- Provide training and support for staff on safety procedures and technologies.
- Support planning and review of safety and security aspects in construction and facilities projects.
- Manage security credentials and access permissions for staff, contractors, and visitors.
- Respond to and track safety-related tickets and work orders via Incident IQ.
- Assist with purchase tracking and budgeting for safety and security needs.
- Review surveillance footage to support investigations as needed.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :
High School / GED, Associate's Degree in Business, Health & Safety, or a related field preferred.Superior computer and technology skills required in Google apps, Excel, Word, and Access.Ability to work flexible hours.Demonstrated ability to think and act proactively to increase department effectiveness and efficiency.?Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with multiple competing priorities.Considerable skill and experience with data management, recordkeeping, research, analysis and reporting.Knowledge of school safety and security management preferred.See attached job description for a full list of position duties, responsibilities, and qualifications.
SCHEDULE :
Hours8 hours per day / Monday - Friday40 hours per weekThis position works full time, 12 months / 261 days per year.
SALARY :
