Working Environment & Physical Demands
Travelling to an MRB site can take several hours, but upon arrival, the physical demand changes to hours of physical activity. Setting up the site can be a physically challenging task due to the variability of terrain in our coverage region, and the summer heat of fire season. Moving rolls of lay flat hose and pumps into position are common tasks that are required, as is connecting 3” & 4” hose in less-than-ideal conditions. There typically aren’t any extreme physical demands in this position, but there is a real need to be ready for periods of continuous physical activity.
