Senior Accountant

Responsibilities :

• Advanced knowledge of the existence and competency of financial systems and procedures to comply with GAAP, and company procedures to guarantee the integrity of financial reporting.
• Perform various accounting activities focusing in the areas of financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and fixed assets accounting.
• Prepare general journal entries for various transactions during the month.
• Prepare well supported general ledger account reconciliations.
• Collect and file sales tax forms from vendors and outside customers.
• Oversee and manage the cost involving the company’s inventory operations.
• Oversee payroll and accounts payable.
• Manage client invoicing and associated collection processes.
• Supervise and coach the current staff in the finance department.
• Direct the month end, forecasting and planning processes to facilitate the timely and accuracy of results.
• Direct the efforts with sales to further develop and utilize the existing sales / order system to provide better analysis and reporting.
• Identify areas for financial process improvement and lead the improvement efforts.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards.
• Ability to discover, own, and drive critical issues to resolution, a sense of urgency, and tenacity is required.
• Thorough understanding of project management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Basic (Required) Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting and / or finance experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of managing / supervising experience.
• All other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Master’s degree
• Manufacturing experience
• SAP, QuickBooks

The expected annual salary range for this role is $69,585.00 $116,082.00 a year.
