Janitor Day Shift Position

Location : Lakewood, Washington (Joint Base Lewis-McChord) Type : Non-Exempt Work Schedule : Full-time, Day Shift Compensation : $22.50 / hour

Tessera is seeking a motivated and reliable janitor with a professional attitude. As a janitor, you will perform a variety of cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal. You will work directly with a teammate on an assigned route across Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Typical duties include : restroom cleaning, office cleaning, halls and high traffic area cleaning, entrances and exits cleaning, trash removal, supply restocking, dusting, stairwell cleaning, and shower cleaning.

Qualifications : Must be able to communicate with others in a courteous and helpful way. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Must have the ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain stamina to perform assigned duties.

Physical Requirements : Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. Must be able to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties. Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required. Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time. Valid state driver license is required.
