Position Summary :
The Research Manager role is essential and externally funded to support the growing demands of the pathology research program.
What You Will Do :
Team Leadership & Management
Hire, train, and onboard new research staff including coordinators, nurses, and assistants.Conduct annual performance reviews and manage HR-related issues for direct reports.Hold team members accountable for timelines, deliverables, and quality standards.Provide mentorship and subject matter expertise in clinical research operations.Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and enthusiastic team culture.Operational Oversight
Manage day-to-day research operations in partnership with Principal Investigators (PIs).Guide and support the team through clinical trial activities, including recruitment, start-up, enrollment, and close-out.Develop and implement strategies to improve recruitment and retention for complex cardiometabolic trials.Improve workflow efficiencies and streamline processes across research protocols.Takes initiative in troubleshooting day-to-day operational challenges, including IT and facilities issues.Partner with finance team to ensure accurate financial tracking, budget development, and performance reporting.Optimize research productivity and ensure efficient use of resources.Administrative Responsibilities
Review and approve timecards for direct reports.Identify opportunities for program growth, expansion of trial portfolios, and process improvement.Serve as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders, sponsors, and regulatory bodies.Ensure compliance with institutional policies, SOPs, GCP, and regulatory requirements.Identify growth opportunities for our team members.Other duties as assigned.What You Will Need :
Education : Bachelor's degree requiredCertification : CCRP or ACRP certification is requiredExperience : General knowledge of "Good Clinical Practices" and research processes. Experience in a clinical research or related setting with increasing responsibility preferred. Prior supervisory and research budget experience preferred.Benefits :
