Job Description

Ramboll is seeking an early career or entry level Mechanical Engineer in our Winston Salem office to work on plant layout and piping design projects in the Chemical, Power and / or Industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate will have the desire to work both in the office and on client sites to develop designs for equipment layout and process piping in heavy industrial settings.

The candidate will work with experienced engineers and designers who will provide mentoring and technical leadership. Additional responsibilities include the following :

• Conceptual design
• Develop equipment arrangement plans and details for new and retrofit plant processes
• Design process and utility piping systems and supports
• Design material handling systems
• Use ASME B31.1 and B31.3 piping in performing design
• Coordination of design with internal project team and external clients
• 3D modeling and developing Orthographic and Isometric drawings
• Designing piping systems and creating drawings using Microstation, AutoCad, and Autodesk Plant 3D software
• Work with Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
• Work with lead engineers to maintain and develop the company's quality standards
