Technology Business Planner
As a member of the PoM Business Group, the Technology Business Planner plays a pivotal role in identifying and developing new business opportunities by leveraging DENSO's internal technical assets and product roadmaps. This position builds and validates business cases, drives proposals with cross-functional teams, and engages both existing and potential customers across the automotive and emerging mobility sectors to expand DENSO's market footprint.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities :
- Strategic Business Planning
- Gain a deep understanding of DENSO's internal technical assets, product roadmaps, and innovation pipelines to identify potential commercial applications.
- Customer Engagement And Business Solutioning
- Propose tailored business solutions for existing and potential customers in both automotive and non-automotive industries, aligning with evolving market trends and DENSO's strategic priorities.
- Business Case Development
- Develop and validate business cases with clear financial rationale; integrate recommendations into business plans and secure executive approval.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Initiate and lead customer proposals in collaboration with engineering, product, and sales teams; manage inter-departmental coordination to ensure timely execution
- New Market And Partner Development
- Identify and pursue new customers and market opportunities beyond existing relationships; establish new internal processes to support emerging business models
- Continuous Improvement And Innovation
- Drive improvements in ECU business models, introduce measurable KPIs, and enhance reporting systems to strengthen business visibility and predictability
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (Masters degree preferred)10 + years of experience in business development, strategy, or technical program management within the automotive, semiconductor, or electronics industriesSkills And Abilities :
Strong ability to interpret complex technical concepts and translate them into actionable business value.Proven capability to lead initiatives independently in undefined or evolving environments.Demonstrated experience in business development or strategic partnerships within high-technology sectors.Familiarity with automotive industry dynamics, including SDV trends, OEM in-house strategies, and global technology ecosystems.Excellent cross-functional collaboration, presentation, and negotiation skills for influencing senior executives and external stakeholders.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with financial modeling or business analytics tools.Disclaimer :
