Mid-Level Network Operations Specialist

Join Leidos as a Mid-Level Network Operations Specialist to enhance our SMIT program. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing the infrastructure and network, promptly responding to alerts and events to ensure smooth operations.

The SMIT program is the largest IT services initiative for the Navy. As part of our team, you will contribute to the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, encompassing cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk support, and data transport. Your efforts will play a crucial role in unifying shore-based networks and data management for the Navy, ultimately enhancing capabilities while achieving significant cost savings.

Key Responsibilities Include :

• Address escalated incidents, managing them from triage to resolution, including command-level escalations when necessary.
• Direct critical infrastructure repairs and oversee remote activities to maintain operational efficiency for essential network services.
• Create comprehensive root cause analysis documentation in line with government policies and established protocols.
• Support and provide feedback on data center operations as required.
• Document daily shift activities in reporting and ticketing systems, ensuring seamless communication of unresolved issues through log records.
• Provide timely incident notifications and updates to Government Civilian Leads and clients.
• Plan and assist with Continuity of Operations (COOP) simulations and response to unforeseen events related to disaster recovery.
• Train junior NetOps specialists, enhancing their skills and expertise to better serve the client.

Basic Qualifications :

Hourly Range : $35 / hour - $38 / hour
