Medical Assistant

Hourly Pay Range : $19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

Position : Medical Assistant
Location : Kellogg Cancer Center Evanston, IL
Per Diem | Hours are scheduled based on department needs
Hours : Schedule will vary Monday-Thursday, 8am / 8 : 30am- 4 : 30pm / 5 : 00pm
Required Travel : May float between Highland Park and Glenview

What You Will Do

Greet patients and escort them to exam room

Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit

Provide front office support as needed

Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight

Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What You Will Need

Education : High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience, required

Certification : CPR certification through the American Heart Association, required

Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred

Experience : One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
