The position pays up to $34 / hour, depending on experience.
Role Description :
SRI Telecom is seeking a skilled Level 2-3 Technician to lead installation, testing, and validation of IT and network equipment within a busy distribution facility. This role is primarily technical, overseeing hot staging and product readiness, with the opportunity to grow into facility and staff management under direct mentorship. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience, attention to detail, and the ability to support fast-moving operational needs.
Key Tasks :
- Oversee receiving processes and ensure materials are properly logged, inspected, and evaluated upon arrival.
- Lead hot staging, installation, testing, and turn-up of IT / network equipment; serve as the on-site technical SME for product validation and readiness.
- Assist in developing and improving testing procedures and train junior staff on installation and verification activities.
- Drive timely resolution of operational or technical issues that may impact workflow or deployment schedules.
- Collaborate with leadership to gradually assume responsibilities related to facility oversight and staff management.
- Promote and maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Provide regular updates on equipment readiness, staging progress, and facility performance.
- Perform other duties and assignments as required.
Skills & Responsibilities :
3+ years of experience as a Level 2 or Level 3 Technician (or equivalent) with hands-on installation, testing, commissioning, and turn-up of network or IT equipment.Strong experience in shipping / receiving, material handling, or distribution processes.Solid understanding of hot staging, equipment validation, and troubleshooting workflows.Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive.Ability to learn and grow into facility and team-lead responsibilities with mentorship.Ability to travel periodically; valid passport required.Work Schedule :
Monday through Friday
