Telecommunications Project Manager
The Telecommunications Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering telecommunications projects within scope, budget, and timeline. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proven track record in managing complex telecommunications projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Project Planning and Execution :
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of telecommunications projects and services.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
- Team Coordination :
- Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and external vendors.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure team alignment with project goals.
- Client Relationship Management :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and sales during project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, and internal account teams, ensuring satisfaction and trust.
- Address client concerns and provide regular updates on project status.
- Operation Excellence :
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize delivery processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage resources effectively to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Stakeholder Management :
- Communicate project updates to stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and team members.
- Address concerns and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.3 years of experience in project management within the telecommunications industry.PMP or PRINCE2 certification is preferred.Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems, technologies, and infrastructure.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello).Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.Other Job Specific Skills
Excellent communication skills in working with technical and non-technical staff and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships among all levels of an organization and with customers.Experience interfacing with government customer to understand, interpret, and analyze requirements.Ability to manage and lead others.Strong organizational and time / task management skills.A polished, professional demeanor with good interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills.Understanding of contingency planning, disaster recovery, or continuity of operations (COOP) is highly desirable.Experience working on a government contract is a plus.Must be capable of working in an environment that is demanding, sometimes stressful and requires independent thinking, problem resolution and responsible actions with minimal direct oversight by senior management.Technical understanding for the project(s) assigned.
