Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Technician with advanced Excel skills for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Sacramento, CA . This role is ideal for a professional who thrives on accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
• Verify timecards, deductions, and adjustments for accuracy
• Maintain and update employee payroll records in the system
• Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations using Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas)
• Assist with payroll tax filings, garnishments, and benefit deductions
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries promptly and professionally

Qualifications :

Schedule : Full-time, Monday-Friday

Compensation : Competitive, based on experience
