Under the direction of the Section Manager, Design and Construction, manages projects in all phases of the project life cycle (planning, design, construction, and closeout). Responsiblities include :
Qualifications : Education :
Must have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
Experience :
Must have minimum of six years of design and / or construction administration experience, an emphasis on site inspection / observation is preferred.
Licenses / Certifications :
An Engineer-in-Training certification and / or professional engineering license is preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Proficiencies :
Knowledge of design for vehicle maintenance / industrial facilities, civil sitework, parking lot planning and underground utilities is preferred.
Must be proficient using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as using AutoCAD and / or MicroStation; prior experience with e-Builder and Bluebeam is preferred.
Must possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, and be detail oriented with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, type on a computer, and travel to meetings, and navigate local project sites. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions :
The position is based in an office setting with standard office equipment, but will also travel to local project sites infrequently. The typical workday is conducted over an 8-hour period and can begin as early as 7 : 00 am and end no later than 6 : 00 pm, Monday through Friday.
This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule after successful completion of a 6 month job introduction period.
