Description :

A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients.

The Registered Nurse focuses on safe, effective patient and family-centered care.

Customer satisfaction and quality outcomes are key responsibilities of the RN.

The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary services to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.

They supervise licensed and non-licensed staff members.

The RN monitors and documents responses to clinical interventions.

Education specific to patient / family needs is facilitated and evaluated.

The RN delegates tasks to personnel and functions as a mentor / preceptor.

They participate in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts.

The RN complies with regulatory standards and participates in governance models.
