Body Technician – Madison, AL (35803) | $18 / hr | 1st Shift | Temp-to-Hire Employment Type : Temp-to-Hire Location : Madison, AL (commutable from Huntsville & Athens) Pay : $18.00 / hr + Overtime About the Role We’re hiring a Body Technician for a leading manufacturing company near Huntsville, AL. In this hands-on role, you’ll prepare ambulance modular boxes for bodywork, sanding, and paint preparation. This position offers stable hours, overtime opportunities, and a great chance to build your career in the automotive and manufacturing industry. Key Responsibilities Sand and prepare modular boxes for paint operations. Apply Bondo compound to smooth surfaces. Grind and sand Bondoed areas for a smooth, paintable finish. Mask, tape, and prep surfaces for painting and final assembly. Perform additional shop duties as required. What We’re Looking For 6+ months of experience in an automotive body shop environment. Proficient in using orbital and DA sanders, grinders, and hand tools. Must be able to wear respiratory equipment and follow safety protocols. Physically able to lift up to 80 lbs, and perform bending, kneeling, and standing tasks. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Must pass a background check and drug screening. HS Diploma or GED preferred.
