This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in the Communications & Grid Modeling (TPM), Planning and Asset Management (TP), Transmission Services (T).

A successful candidate in the Supervisory Electrical Engineer / Supervisory Electronics Engineer position will serve with responsibility for planning, managing, and leading programs, systems, and work processes that are necessary to perform the critical mission and support activities required of the organization managed.

Duties

As a ??????Supervisory Electrical / Electronics Engineer, you will :

  • Determine goals for the organization, independently of or jointly with higher management.
  • Exercise delegated managerial authority to set a series of annual and longer-range work plans and schedules for in-service and contracted work, independently of or jointly with higher management.
  • Set policy for the organization in such areas as determining program emphases and operating guidelines.
  • Contribute significantly to the determination of resource needs and allocation of resources and is accountable for their effective use.
  • Plan for long-range staffing needs, including such matters as whether to contract work.
  • Delegates authority to two subordinate supervisors and holds the supervisors responsible for the performance of their subordinate groups.
  • Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
