The Opportunity

We are seeking a Privacy Advisor - Risk and Compliance Advisor I to provide independent oversight and guidance on our business products and processes within a robust risk and compliance framework. Candidates should have at least four years of experience, with an ability to analyze regulatory changes and implement compliance measures accordingly. Effective communication skills are needed, as is the ability to synthesize complex risk data for diverse partners. Relevant certifications such as CIPP / US or CIPM are preferred, alongside strong collaboration skills across all organizational levels.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office four days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations : San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, and Charlotte, NC.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What You'll Do

• Partners with key team members in the business to identify, assess, aggregate, and detail operational and compliance risks and controls, including operational and compliance risks associated with new or modified products, services, distribution channels, laws, regulations, and third-party operations using maturing knowledge.
• Applies maturing knowledge of the business, its products, and processes, to identify, work, and raise operational risk and compliance issues.
• Supports and contributes to the implementation of new risk and compliance policies, practices, and solutions to ensure multidisciplinary understanding and management of operational and compliance risks according to industry standard process.
• Captures information, analyzes data trends, and produces analytical material for discussions with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and influence solution strategies.
• Assists in the formulation of stress test plans for a line of business or the enterprise including the evaluation of results and framing of contingency plans in partnership with key business partners.
• Supports processes that focus on improving strategies, tools, and methodologies to measure, monitor, and report on operational and compliance risks.
• Contributes in cross-functional teams to identify, assess, aggregate, and mitigate current and emerging risk.
• Supports and implements processes to measure, monitor, and report on operational and compliance risks.

Compensation Range : The salary range for this position is : $85,040 - $162,550.

You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
