SUMMARY

Experienced civil / highway engineering leader to manage a transportation design department, drive project delivery excellence, and mentor a growing team. Own execution across the full project lifecycle, partner closely with clients and internal leadership, and elevate quality, schedule, and financial outcomes on complex roadway initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide day-to-day leadership of the transportation / highway design function, ensuring technical quality, cost control, and on-time delivery.
• Guide project approach, scope, budget, and schedules in collaboration with regional / office leadership; champion innovative design solutions and strategic teaming opportunities.
• Serve as a senior technical resource with strong engineering judgment; set standards for quality assurance and risk management.
• Mentor and train designers / engineers; build capabilities in geometric design, plans production, and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Engage directly with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to clarify needs, resolve design / permitting issues, and maintain high satisfaction.
• Support and advise project managers across a portfolio of transportation assignments from planning through construction support.
• Promote best practices aligned with DOT / turnpike authority processes and procedures.
