The Hired Guns are seeking a true arbiter of the Bay-Area zeitgeist to take on the role of Features Editor and transform the San Francisco media landscape.

Salary range : $150,000 to $170,000 per year

To land this Features Editor spot, you’ll need to be currently covering San Francisco in an interesting way or have completed a significant tour of duty in the City by the Bay.

Cultural tourists need not apply. We’re looking for the real deal.

You can look at a story with a fresh perspective and offer clear guidance to your carefully curated team of journalists.

You’re able to structure narratives for high impact pieces, deftly edit articles, and help talented writers shine in a deadline-driven newsroom.

Your editorial voice, tone, and POV will illuminate trends in San Francisco politics, culture, and lifestyle. You will collaborate with visual and social media teams to ensure that your team’s stories reach the largest possible audience.
