Design Engineer

Nesco is in search of a Design Engineer to work one of our clients based in Danbury, CT.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Design Engineer will research and develop ideas for new products and systems and be involved in the design, manufacture and product support for standard and custom products to meet our clients' applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively on complex projects while demonstrating proficiency in various engineering tools and methodologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use research ideas to create technical plans for prototypes using CAD and SolidWorks.
• Collects and analyzes data from tests on prototypes.
• Uses mathematical modeling to determine if new development is cost-effective.
• Modifies designs and re-tests to ensure products are ready for manufacture or installation.
• Writes or presents regular progress reports for project managers and clients.
• Will perform other duties as required.
